My name is Rachel Oriol, and I am a fourth-year PhD student in English working on my dissertation on representations of dancing Latina bodies in literature and film. This site was created for my comprehensive studies, of which my Area of Concentration was in Hemispheric American Studies, and my Special Topic in Latina Bodies. This blog now serves as an archive or annotated bibliography for general research that I am afraid I’ll forget about before I use specifically, but also a place to reflect about the larger topics of bodies, race, writing, and identity.
